This year’s “Ophthalmology Star Award” is dedicated to Dr. Li Wenliang, an ophthalmologist who was the first to raise the alarm about COVID-19.
Since the beginning of COVID-19 outbreak, healthcare professionals have taken the frontline with their courageous and fearless dedication to fight against the pandemic. To present our sincere gratitude and appreciation for all healthcare professionals, we, in VSY Biotechnology, would like to give this year’s Ophthalmology Star Awards in commemoration of Dr. Li Wenliang, an ophthalmologist who was the first to raise the alarm about the coronavirus in late December 2019. Unfortunately, Dr. Wenliang passed away last February 7, 2020, due to COVID-19.
“Ophthalmology Star Awards (OSA)” is an annual recognition of innovative works on Ophthalmology, which is organized by VSY Biotechnology.
Each year, three ophthalmologists are selected for their innovative work and receive their award during “Ophthalmology Star Awards Ceremony.” This year, winners will be announced at the ‘‘Ophthalmology Star Awards Ceremony’’ during “VSY Biotechnology Satellite Symposium,” which will be held in the ESCRS 2020, Amsterdam on October 5, 2020, at 1:00 PM. All ophthalmologists are more than welcome to apply for “Ophthalmology Star Awards” with their scientific work to take this opportunity of obtaining an international recognition during ESCRS 2020.
Application Criteria:
1. Only ophthalmologists can apply for the award.
2. Ophthalmologists should apply with their scientific work on Ophthalmology.
3. Their scientific paper should already be published in a scientific journal and dated not before January 2019.
4. Applicants can make more than one application. Each application should have different scientific work.
